- The unique profile offers three advantages:
- The overall cross-section of the rim is loosely H-shaped, meaning that the sidewalls have a straight brace between them, offering stiffer braking than a normal C-section rim.
- The W shape allows the nipples to sit perfectly as they exit the rim at an angle to the hub, allowing for an easier wheel build and a stiffer bike overall.
- The bead area is different from other rims, holding the tires more firmly and precisely, ensuring that lightweight tires fit better and stay in place at low pressures.
- Parallel sidewalls provide a square braking surface, making brake adjustment easier – especially when using brake calipers without pads.
- The large width of 47 mm ensures the highest possible tire roll reduction even when driving with lower tire pressure.
- Raised ridges along the edges of the rim improve strength and resistance to flat spots.
- The huge perforated holes significantly reduce the weight of the rim, although not so much as to weaken the rim, thanks to a reinforced rib running through their center.
- Available in black or silver, 32 spoke bore only.
- ERD: 381mm, spoke bore offset 13mm (subtract 13mm from hub offset to calculate spoke).
